I am officially healthy, too! It's amazing. It only took 13 days of feeling uber crummy with a cold and sinus infection before I turned the corner. Without a low-grade fever, I was also finally able to sleep soundly Friday and Saturday night which did wonders for my energy level.
It's a good thing better days are ahead, because my Week 2 star chart is pretty pathetic. Basically, all I did was get Greta out for a walk every day. I didn't stretch. I didn't do PT. I didn't run. I didn't get up in the morning. I also worked only 1 full day! How is that possible?
I did go out for a 6.5 mile walk with Greta on Saturday--she so needed to run in the woods. And I did the same loop again on Sunday with some unintended running. It was about 37 when I headed out and I was chilly, so I started running and then ended up running the flat and downhill portions of the trail, probably at least 3 miles. It felt good to run, but the long flat/downhill stretches started to get hard--it was a good reminder that the evil crud took a lot out of me.
But today is the first day of Week 3 and I am ready to rock my star chart!!
Oh, and I have been daydreaming about hiking the PCT in April non-stop for the last week--thanks to my cold and not being able to really do much else. I know you want to join me, Tesia!!
